Mining using nodes is a different form of crypto mining. Before a node can be put online on the blockchain network, one often needs a collateral of crypto coins. These coins first need to be staked. The advantage is that you can now earn extra cryptocurrencies. Often it is also possible to have multiple nodes running on a single computer or server.
